Hurricane High School Runner Alex Dent Wins WV Gatorade Runner of the Year
Congrats to senior Alex Dent of Hurricane High School. Alex has already run a 5:07 1600 indoors this year and is poised to break the 5-minute barrier. She is gearing up for the NIN (Nike Indoor Nationals) where she will face some great competition and set her up for a great outdoor track season this fall. Read More

Josh Simpson finishes 8th in Houston
Josh Simpson ran 1:03:27 to finish 8th place in the Houston Half-Marathon. That is a slight PR for him. Congrats to Josh for going 4:50 pace for 13.1 miles!

Josh Simpson at Houston Half-Marathon
Josh Simpson is racing this weekend in the Houston Half-Marathon. This race is the USATF Half-Marathon National Championship. In 2008, Josh finished 6th in this race with a time of 1:03:54. This race will be exciting as he finished 2nd at the USATF Club XC Championship in Lexington, KY in December. Sign up to follow him during the race HERE

Huntington Winter Series Presented by the Herald-Dispatch Moves Races to Barboursville Park
The 5 Mile and 10K races that will conclude the Huntington Winter Series will now be held at the Barboursville Park. The race committee decided to make this change to ensure that the course will be secure for runners. More Info.

Ritter Park Off-Road Challenge
87 of the toughest runners in the area stood on the starting line in the middle of Ritter Park at 9:30 AM this morning to go on a trek over the river and through the woods. Free shoes went to the first overall male if he could break 19:00 and first overall female that broke 23:00. Well....... Matt Shiffbauer wins a new pair of shoes with a time of 17:45 and another Marshall University Runner, Kathleen Clark runs 23:48. Overall Results
