33rd Annual East Greenup Kiwanis Run By The River

Where: Russell, KY

Downtown Russell, Ky. along the beautiful Ohio River. Races start at the old Central School building next to SuperQuik and at the foot of the Ironton-Russell Bridge. Enter Russell from U.S. 23 at the Viaduct (Ashland side) or the railroad underpass (Greenup side).

Course:


The race course is out and back on blacktop streets. It starts and finishes near the old Central School building. The course takes you underneath the Ironton-Russell Bridge giving you a spectacular view of the river. It then follows the River Road to Worthington, through Worthington and back for 10K runners. 5K runners will turnaround on the River Road at the first water station.

 


Entry Fees:


$15 for ages 14 and under through race day; $15 for all others through June 5; $20 thereafter and on race day.

Awards:


Trophies given to the first place winner in each race, male and female divisions; trophies given to top 3 finishers in each age category in both races, male and female divisions. Trophy to the first place wheelchair entrant. Medals to all runners 10 and under who do not qualify for any other trophy. No awards for walkers.

 


More Information:

 

T-shirt and goody bag to all paid entrants. Preregistered entrants have the best chance of getting the size shirt you desire. On race day we do the best we can. All money raised goes toward funding Kiwanis projects aimed primarily at youth events.
