Major Announcement for the Huntington Winter Series Presented by the Herald-Dispatch

 

We are excited to announce a change in location for the 5 Mile and 10K Races. We have decided to move the races to the Barboursville Park.

 

Meeting with various members of the WV 5K Race Committee, the topic of course security came up many times. Our major concern with racing in Downtown Huntington at 2 PM was ensuring that all of the participants have a safe course to race on.

 

The wonderful layout of the Barboursville Park will allow us to provide a different race course that is both fast and challenging. This will allow us to maintain security on the course.

 

The Village of Barboursville paved the soccer road and we are happy to be the first ones to showcase this newly paved and widen road.

 

Below I have listed the new details for the race. Note only the location has changed:
