Rally For Autism has new website
It is time for the Rally for Autism™. This year will be the Twelfth Annual Autism Awareness Event to be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Huntington’s Ritter Park. Autism Services Center, the West Virginia Autism Training Center at Marshall University and the Autism Society River Cities are the three local, organizing agencies that benefit from this autism awareness event.
We are excited to announce the launch of our very own website for the Rally for Autism™. For the very first time, you will be able to find everything there is to know about this event ALL IN ONE PLACE. The web address is: http://rallyforautism.org, and it was designed by TriStateRacer.com
The event will feature the Fourth Annual Seaton & Moira Taylor 5K Walk sponsored by Campbell Woods, P.L.L.C., a 5K Run and a 25-Mile Bicycle Tour. Based upon the attendance last year of 925 participants in the rain and hail, we are anticipating a crowd of more than 1,000 participants this year.
The funds raised remain in our local area to help Autism Services Center, the West Virginia Autism Training Center at Marshall University and the Autism Society River Cities serve individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. There are no overhead expenses, only direct expenses, as the event is planned and executed totally by volunteers.
The incidence of autism continues to rise. As reported the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) revised the incidence numbers in 2012 to one in every 88 births and one in every 54 boys. These are alarming numbers and evidence that there is a huge need to serve those with autism and their families. Come join us for the Twelfth Annual Rally for Autism™ on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Ritter Park in Huntington, WV. The festivities begin at 8:00 a.m., and it will be a great day for individuals with autism to come out and enjoy being with their friends and families.
