All About the Abs

With a stronger core, you see faster times on your runs! With a weak abs you can become known as a funny runner. You know, the type with a bad stride or improper form. 

 Here’s some exercises to help you strenghten that core and become a stronger runner!

 

Not your Bake Dozen

  • Bicycle Abs – 10-60 reps

  • Push Up Side Planks – 25 reps

  • Back Bridges – 15 each side

  • Ab Scissors – horizontal 30 , vertical 30

  • Prone Plank – 60 seconds

  • Fire Hydrant – 15 reps each leg

  • Side Plank Leg Raise – 10 seconds each leg

  • Donkey Extension – 10-15 each leg

  • V Ups – 10-15 reps

  • Prone Knee Thrust – 5 across, 5 forward, 5 outside

  • Standing Glute – 10 second hold , 5 quick side/ front/ back

  • Classic Push Up – decreasing sets 10, 9, 8, 7…
