Entry Fees

Early Bird registration will begin on Friday, January 11, 2019 and will run through Thursday, February 15, 2019.  Early Bird rates are $45.00 for Solo, and $42.00 per Team Member (up to 4 on a team).  NOTE: IF YOU HAVE TWO PEOPLE PARTICIPATING, AND BOTH WANT TO DO THE ENTIRE RACE..RUN, PADDLE, AND PEDAL...YOU ARE CONSIDERED SOLOS, NOT A TEAM.  TEAM MEMBERS MUST SPLIT UP ON THE RACE, EACH TEAM MEMBER CANNOT RUN THE ENTIRE COURSE!!!!!  Registration February 12 - April 13, 2019 will be $50.00 for Solo, and $47.00 per Team Member (up to 4 on a team).   Please register online, or mail your payment to Greenbrier River Trail Association, PO Box 203  Marlinton, WV 24954.  

But, also, please keep in mind.....IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP AS A SOLO PARTICIPANT, YOU MUST RUN ALL THREE LEGS OF THE RACE ON YOUR OWN!!!!  YOU CANNOT BE IN A BOAT WITH OTHERS AND BE CONSIDERED SOLO!!!  This is a fun, family friendly event.  Let's work on the honor system, and everyone be honest.  If you are caught in the boat with another solo, you will both be disqualified from the race.  It ruins the fun for everyone.  (However, if you have a minor competing as a solo, for their safety, we will allow the minor in a boat with an older participant.)

We welcome all ages, the young and the young at heart!  This is a family friendly event.  All age levels and all skill levels are welcome to come join in the fun!!

Charity Information

The Great Greenbrier River Race is a Fundraiser for The Greenbrier River Trail.  The proceeds of the race help to maintain and upkeep The Greenbrier River Trail.

More Information

You must be registered by April 12, 2019.  All racers must sign a liability release at packet pick up, or on race day in order to participate in the race.  Parents must sign for children under the age of 18.  There will be a mandatory race meeting prior to the race at 10:30 a.m. at The Gazebo in Marlinton.  The race will begin promptly at 11:00.  

Packet pick-up Friday night at the Municipal Building from 4:00 - 8:00 pm.  Located on 2nd Avenue.  Or you can pick up your packet Saturday morning prior to the race from 8:00-10:00 under the big white tent in the Gazebo area (8th Street).
