All participants that have already registered will be contacted directly and issued a refund. As always, we appreciate your support and all of the ways you help us make a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children.

Greetings, runners and supporters. We regret to have to announce that the 2020 CASA Superhero 5K in Bridgeport, WV has been cancelled.

Our race committee has been carefully monitoring this situation with COVID-19. Following the guidelines of the CDC and our elected officials, it is abundantly clear that mitigation strategies limiting large crowds and social isolation are key to reducing the spread of COVID-19.

As we continue our work daily to ensure the safety of the children in our community, it is also our responsibility to keep all of our community safe.

Throughout this pandemic, CASA of Harrison & Marion Counties is continuing to provide resources and advocacy to vulnerable children and families. It is not uncommon during times like these for cases of abuse to rise. Although we can not hold this event this year, we will continue to work with our community to gain the support needed to rise to meet the critical needs of our children. Working with child victims every day, we are inspired by their resilience in the face of uncertainty and their hope for a future!

The CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate)  Programs of Harrison & Marion County are volunteer-based agencies that advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children. This event benefits both Harrison County CASA Program, Inc. and CASA of Marion County, Inc., allowing more funds to recruit, screen, & train new volunteers to advocate for these children. 

Every child needs a hero, but abused & neglected children need a SUPERHERO!
