Course

Course begins in Valley Park at the large sheltter.  It follows the park road out of the park and through residential neighbourhoods.  It circles back into the park and through the park on part of the running/walking trail and comes to an end at the large shelter.  The trail is mostly paved with a short distance of trail through some grass and on the park trail.

The Sweetest Race in Town is back for it's 7th year! Our Cupcake Chase 5K is so much fun for the entire family!  What other race offers you the chance to show off your cupcake decorating skills?  That's right!!  You have the option to decorate a cupcake along the race route to bring back to the finish line for our WV Cupcake Festival Royalty to judge for an award!  We will also have cupcakes at the finish line for all to enjoy!  This sweet race is the kickoff to our WV Cupcake Festival!  The WV Cupcake Festival is a festival with something for the entire family and enough cupcakes and variety of cupcakes to satisy anyone's sweet tooth!  Join us for the 5K, then stick around to see food, crafts, amatuer cupcake bakers to compete, a kid's pageant and so much more!  The festival and it's events are rain or shine.  No refunds will be issued unless the event is canceled.
