Course

This years race will be a GLOW RUN. Starting in the evening to provide a cooler race and a unique event. 

 This course is FLATTER and FASTER!  

*1 miler is NOT timed

Course description:

Start at the Courthouse parking lot, second light pole to the left of the steps going into the parking lot from the courthouse door.

run through the parking lot and make a right turn towards the back road that leads to Winfield Middle School.

follow the road to 817

turn Right at the Middle school side walk and run the distance in front of the school.

turn Right and an immediate Right into the lower Middle School lot, run the complete circle take Left back towards Rt. 817 

turn Right onto the sidewalk on 817 and run to the Brown Brick building beside Winfield Dairy Freeze (Formerly Gunters)

Cross 817 then turn into the First entrance into Riverdale Estates, run Riverdale.

turn Left out of Riverdale and run to WHS parking lot.

turn Left into the parking lot (Car Exit) then turn Left at the end of the yellow poles

run to the Light pole in the parking lot and turn Right to go through the Gate

run around WHS and straight out to 817 (Car entrance)

turn Right at the sidewalk on 817 and proceed back to the 817 crossing at Gunters

run straigt back to the WMS drive up the hill and back to the Putnam County Courthouse. 

Turn Left at the road IN FRONT of the Courthouse.

The finish line is at the Courthouse Doors.

Entry Fees

$25, Register before Aug 2 to guarantee a T-shirt. Special rates for teams (XC and others) if your team wants a great training run together they will be challenged and have a great time of bonding.

Age Groups

Elementary: 11 & under Middle: 12-14 High: 15-18 Adult: 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70 and over

Awards

Plaques for Top Male and Top Female Medals for Top Male and Female in each age group. No awards for 1 miler participants, other than a sense of accomplishment!

Our goal is to place AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) in schools. Because of the tremendous support of this race the MRK AED Foundation has raised enough money to place AEDs in schools in Putnam, Cabell, Lincoln and Mason Counties. Thank YOU!!
