Course

This will be a timed, out and back 6K course into the downtown Lexington sunset. When runners are finished there will be ice cold West Sixth Beer, food from Smithtown Seafood or Red State Barbeque, and a party for the history books! Runners will also be given a commemorative pint glass with the W6K logo emblazoned!

Introducing the first annual West Sixth night run hosted by West Sixth Brewing. A 6K run (3.7 miles), it will begin and end at Coolavin Park with the course taking runners through downtown Lexington and a portion of the Legacy Trail, making you the first to grace the new completion! A historical and eagerly waited moment indeed! 

All proceeds will go to Broke Spoke Community Bike Shop that will make various improvements outside the shop to accomodate Legacy Trail travelers. Here are a few words from Tim Buckingham of Broke Spoke : "We have been eagerly awaiting the completion of the Coolavin Trail since we first started construction on Broke Spoke in January 2012. We have big plans for once the trail is complete. With the help of the Bluegrass Cycling Club we are going to install a U-fix-It work station so folks can service their bike when the shop is closed. Additionally, we are are working with West Sixth and friends to raise funds to put towards installing a water fountain for trail users. "
