Charity Information

Early in 2014, a community outreach group was born with the goal to address some of the needs of people in the greater Barboursville area. Several churches, concerned citizens, and community organizations got together and decided to combine efforts on several fronts: a free monthly community meal, outreach to seniors, and outreach to low-income families with children.

GBCO's main focus has been a free monthly meal, hosted at the Barboursville Senior Center. The meal is for anyone, anyone who wants to eat with others, anyone who doesn't want to eat alone, folks who have more month than money, anyone.

More Information

The proceeds from this Turkey Trot will go toward providing meals and supplemental food assistance to local people. We are proud that we will be giving to those in need this Thanksgiving morning!
