Run for the River Triathlon

Course
Three mile cross country run in Meadowwood Park with some gentle slopes; 8 mile bike from Park along Smith Creek Rd., Greenview Rd and Rt. 214 Road to the Alum Creek Lion's Club Nature Conservancy at Lock 4; return to Park with a 7 mile paddle down Coal River with a short .25 mile run to the finish line. If unsafe river conditions exist, the bike route will be extended to 16.2 miles. Please have kayaks at the transition area by 9:00 am to help prevent traffic problems. Limited parking at this area.

Race day entry 8-9:30 am Online registration ends 12 pm April 5. Kayak rentals are available at www.coalriverkayak.com Race day registration begins at 8:00 am.

Individual: male/female 11-19;20-29;30-39;40-49;50-59;60+ Teams: male/female/coed Tech-T's for all entrants.

Top 3 overall male/female Top 3 each age group male/female Top 3 each male/female/coed team Awards presented immediately following race.
Charity Information
All proceeds go to the Coal River Group that organizes stream cleanup projects, builds river access points, promotes stream restoration efforts and maintains the Coal River Water Trail.

Kayak rentals are available at www.coalriverkayak.com. If unsafe river conditions exist on race day, the bike ride will be extended to 16 miles. The extension of the bike route will continue from Alum Creek and return to Meadowood Park along Coal River Rd. The race will then be completed with a 1.6 mile run.
