Night of Hope 5K

Course

This is an inside the park 5K Run / Walk Glow Run.

The course race will begin inside the park at the zip line and head out to the outer sidewalk of 12th Street.  Remaining on the sidewalk, you then turn down 13th Ave to 8th Street, cross back over into the park staying on the outside running track until you get to the bridge which takes you to the outer circle which will loop you back to 12th Street.

Once you cross the parking lot enterence, you have completed 5,5740.  We will do 2 more complete laps and then re-enter on the 12th Street parking lot enterence back to the zip line to complete the 5K.

 

Entry Fees

The entry fee for the Night Of HOPE Glow Run is $35.00 for adults 17 and older and $25.00 for children 16 and younger in advance which includes your T-shirt, one Glow Necklace and one Glow Bracelet.  All entries must be received by August 9, 2016 by 10:00 am to be gauranteed a T-Shirt.  Day of event entry fee is $45.00.

  • 70 and above

Awards

First male and female overall will receive a trophy

Top three finishers are listed above in each age group will receive a glow in the dark medal. (no duplication of awards)

Charity Information

By being a part of the Night Of HOPE 5K you are working to support the American Cancer Society and our Relay For Life.  Relay For Life supports ground breaking cancer research, our cancer.org website and 800 number 800-227-2345 which are both available 24/7/365 for cancer patients and their families.  We also support our local communities through mission support such as Road To Recovery, Reach To Recovery, Look Good Feel Better, providing wigs and turbans to cancer patients in our local offices, and through our HOPE Lodge and Hotel partnerships. 

You can become a part of Relay for life by going to our website at www.relayforlife.org and putting in your zip code to find a local Relay near you.  Start a team or sign up to walk as a cancer survivor.

More Information

The fun begins at 4:30 PM until 9:30 PM with the race starting at 9:00 PM.  Bring your family and friends and join in on the fun.  Have a picnic, listen to music, dance, and play games.  We will have hourly prize drawings for giveaways (just for fun) and you can relax and unwind prior to the event taking place.  We are going to light the track with Luminaria Bags, you can purchase a bag in honor or in memory of a loved one and decorate it to place on the track if you like.  Luminaria Bags are $5.00. 

Ritter Park offers a beautiful atmosphere with shaded areas as well as shelters and areas for your friends and family to relax and have a good time while you are running.
