Course

This event will be a CHIP Event!! This  is the 2nd annual Putnam County Glow Run at Hurricane City Park and we are very excited to be back again this year!

This is the same course that we used last year, however they now have a two lane bridge to get in and out of the park for easy access. 

The course itself will be a circular course going up and around the park begining at the slides past the red barn past the ball field up the stairs past the old skate park then down the back side on the gravel part beside the reservoir back to the black top back to the slides.  Making 5 complete laps is a true 5K.  This was a very challenging run for everyone last year, and we look forward to everyone returning again this year.

The course will be lightly lit by luminaria bags but will be a true Glow Run and will start at dusk.

Entry Fees

Entry Fees for the event are $35.00 for ages 17 and up and $25.00 ages 16 and under which includes your T-shirt, one glow necklace, and glow bracelet.  To ensure your T-shirt, all entries must be received by September 14, 2016 by 10:00 am, all entries received after this date are not guaranteed a t-shirt.  Day of event entries are $45.00.

This is a Chip Timed Race.

All ages are welcome to be a part of this life saving event. This course may not be good for strollers.

• 9 and under
• 10 to 19
• 20 to 29
• 30 to 39
• 40 to 49
• 50 to 59
• 60 to 69
• 70 and above

Awards

First male and female overall will receive a trophy

Top three finishers are listed above in each age group will receive a glow in the dark medal. (no duplication of awards)

Charity Information

The 2nd annual Putnam Glow Run is in support of the American Cancer Society and Relay For Life.  Relay For Life supports ground breaking research, our cancer.org website and 800 number 800-227-2345 which are both 24/7/365 for all cancer patients and their families.  We also support local mission programs such as Road To Recovery, Look Good Feel Better, Reach To Recovery, wigs and turbans for cancer patients from our locall offices, and HOPE Lodge and our Hotel Partnerships.

More Information

We will kick off our festivities at 3:30 pm with music and fun activities.  Bring your friends and family to enjoy fun entertainment, games, and just relax and have a picnic while waiting for the 5K event to start.  All participants will be provided with a glow necklace and a glow bracelet but be sure to bring out the GLOW and deck yourselves out so we can GLOW the night away while we are racing for a cure against cancer.  The race will begin at 8:30 PM.  Thank you for your support!
