Atomic Glow Run/Walk (5K)

Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant Main Gate - Piketon, OH

Course

The course starts and ends at the main gate.  At the beginning of the race the course goes up hill for a couple hundred yards.  There will be a turn around at the X-1000 parking lot and then you'll return to the main gate parking lot where you started.

An optional 1 mile turn around point will also be marked for people not wanting to run/walk the entire 5K.

A paid registration includes a t-shirt and glow stick!

$20.00 for students

$10.00 children 7-12

Children 6 and under free (a glow stick will be provided, but no t-shirt)

Day of Race $35.00 (shirts will be provided, but may not be available the day of race)

Charity Information

100% of the proceeds from this event will be divided equally between the Community Fund in Pike County, the United Fund in Jackson County, the United Way in Ross County and the Portsmouth Area Ladies (PALS) in Scioto County for them to distribute to charities in their areas.

 

 

More Information

Come join in on the fun at our second annual Atomic Glow Run around the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Site.  The race gives you the opportunity to see a part of history while raising money for a great cause.

The race is one of several activiites Fluor-BWXT Portsmouth conducts in September for their annual Employee Giving Campaign.  All proceeds from these activities are matched by the Fluor Foundation at fifty cents on the dollar.
