8th Street and Greenbrier River Trail - Marlinton, WV
Course
Run 3 miles along the Greenbrier River Trail and 8th Street in Marlinton, West Virginia.
Paddle 4 miles down The Greenbrier River by canoe or kayak.
Pedal 10 miles on The Greenbrier River Trail, first riding South, then turning around and riding North, back to 8th Street in Marlinton where you will cross the finish line.
Entry Fees
Early Bird registration will begin on Monday, January 24, 2022 and will run through Monday, February 14, 2022. Early Bird rates are $55.00 for Solo, and $50.00 per Team Member (up to 4 on a team). NOTE: IF YOU HAVE TWO PEOPLE PARTICIPATING, AND BOTH WANT TO DO THE ENTIRE RACE..RUN, PADDLE, AND PEDAL...YOU ARE CONSIDERED SOLOS, NOT A TEAM. TEAM MEMBERS MUST SPLIT UP ON THE RACE, EACH TEAM MEMBER CANNOT RUN THE ENTIRE COURSE!!!!! Registration February 15 - March 14, 2022 will be $60.00 for Solo, and $55.00 per Team Member (up to 4 on a team). Registration March 15 - April 15,2022 will be $65.00 Solo, and $60.00 per Team Member. But, also, please keep in mind.....IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP AS A SOLO PARTICIPANT, YOU MUST RUN ALL THREE LEGS OF THE RACE ON YOUR OWN!!!! YOU CANNOT BE IN A BOAT WITH OTHERS AND BE CONSIDERED SOLO!!! This is a fun, family friendly event. Let's work on the honor system, and everyone be honest. If you are caught in the boat with another solo, you will both be disqualified from the race. It ruins the fun for everyone. (However, if you have a minor competing as a solo, for their safety, we will allow the minor in a boat with an older participant.)
We welcome all ages, the young and the young at heart! This is a family friendly event. All age levels and all skill levels are welcome to come join in the fun!!

The Great Greenbrier River Race is a Fundraiser for The Greenbrier River Trail. The proceeds of the race help to maintain and upkeep The Greenbrier River Trail.
More Information
You must be registered by April 15, 2022 in order to be guaranteed a t-shirt. All racers must sign a liability release at packet pick up, or on race day in order to participate in the race. Parents must sign for children under the age of 18. There will be a mandatory race meeting prior to the race at 10:30 a.m. at The Gazebo in Marlinton. The race will begin promptly at 11:00.
Packet pick-up Friday night at the Municipal Building from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Located on 2nd Avenue. Or you can pick up your packet Saturday morning prior to the race from 8:00-10:00 under the big white tent in the Gazebo area (8th Street).
