Holzer Sycamore Branch - Gallipolis, OH


The course starts and ends near the Holzer Sycamore Branch. It travels through GDC on Ohio Avenue, the bike trail between Haskins Park and Holzer Sycamore, as well as down 4th Avenue to a turnaround spot. The course is completed on a paved surface with gradual elevation changes in a couple spots. This is not a certified course.

Entry Fees

$10 Kids 10 years old and under

$20 Early Bird Registration by midnight on April 18th (mail in registrations must be post-marked April 18th or before)

$30 Regular Registration April 19th through In-person Day Off Registration (online registration cuts off June 10th at midnight)

All registrations received by midnight on June 10th will be guaranteed a t-shirt. Limited quantity of extra t-shirts will be available to those who register after June 10th or on race day.


Age Groups

1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-99 Each age group will have a male and female category.


Each participant will receive a finisher's medal upon crossing the finish line. Trophies will be awarded to the overall top male and female (no duplications) and 1st/2nd/3rd place for both male and female in each age group.

Charity Information

Proceeds from this race will be split between the Holzer Heritage Foundation and the John Gee Black Historical Center.

More Information

Holzer is excited to partner with the John Gee Black Historical Center for this Juneteenth holiday race. Bring your family out Saturday evening to celebrate both Juneteenth and Father's Day weekend by running or walking this 3.1 mile course. Throughout the course there will be educational snippets featuring information on the African American culture and history in Southeastern Ohio. We hope to see you there!
